Wings Tandem leaves the decision of what canopies may be used to the assembling rigger. But we do give guidance and advice. In this album we list the canopies we have packed into our rigs, and how those canopies fit.

Wings Tandem also offers special pricing on certain canopies at certain times. Contact Wings Tandem to see if we can save you money on your new canopy purchase.

Precision Aerodynamics offers the Tandem Main and Tandem Reserve in the following sizes, followed by how each size fits into our containers:

When you pack a Wings Tandem with Reserve Boost, make sure the lanyard that runs from the RSL to the reserve free bag starts clear of the reserve risers, as shown here.

Placing the lanyard outboard (as you see here) prior to putting the free bag into the container sets you up for a misrouting.  THIS IS WRONG!

Big time OOPS here! Some riggers hadn't noticed that they had accidentally routed the Reserve Boost lanyard UNDER the reserve risers.  DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

After you put the reserve free bag in place, make sure the Reserve Boost lanyard is clear of the reserve risers, just like this.

AADs

The Federal Aviation Administration says (FAR 105.45) that manufacturers list the Automatic Activation Devices that are approved for use in their tandem system. Wings Tandem allows appropriate Cypres, Vigil, and m2 AADs in our tandem rigs.

Cypres makes a Tandem-specific AAD. Only the "Tandem" Cypres is authorized in Wings Tandem.

The Cypres 2 comes in either a tandem-specific version, or Changable Mode set to Tandem. Either of these are authorized in Wings Tandem.

m2 is the newest, most affordable AAD available in the US today. The tandem-specific version is the only model m2 allowed in the Wings Tandem.

The multi-purpose Vigil and Vigil 2 can be set for Student, Pro, and Tandem. The Vigil AAD must be set to "Tandem" when used in a Wings Tandem system.
