We redesigned the deployment bag to keep the canopy in the bag until line stretch while staying easy to pack.  We use standard rubber bands to save packer’s fingers.  New large grommets make packing simpler.  And the double flap with four locking stows keep your canopy secure.

Either handle, left or right side, pulls a stainless steel pin.  A single, easily replaceable elastic lets both handles spring back.  No more losing the cable in the depths of the rig.  No more premature openings from improper packing. And if the drogue 3-rings are misrigged, the steel pin against the steel grommet mean the instructor can still release the drogue.

We want to avoid the added complication of a Collins Lanyard, but we also want to make sure the RSL won’t pull the reserve pin if the RSL-side riser breaks.  So we designed the riser and RSL to work without it.  The RSL attaches to the riser below the weak point of the riser, the point of the grommet.  If the riser breaks at the weak point, the RSL stays with the rig.  The riser might break at the bottom if the ring becomes corroded.  So Wings Tandem only offers stainless steel rings.  And if the ring assembly becomes inverted and the riser snaps, the free-floating RSL stays with the rig.
